Porcelain Veneer

PORCELAIN LAMINATE TREATMENT, SMILE WITH CONFIDENCE

Porcelain laminates, also known as porcelain veneers, are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored ceramic material that are bonded to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They are commonly used in cosmetic dentistry to create a brighter, more even, and aesthetically pleasing smile.

Key Features of Porcelain Laminates:

  • Material: Made from high-quality porcelain that mimics the natural translucency and color of real teeth.

  • Purpose: Used to correct issues like discoloration, gaps, chipped or worn teeth, and minor misalignment.

  • Procedure: A small amount of enamel is usually removed from the front of the tooth to make space for the laminate. Then, the veneer is permanently bonded using a strong dental adhesive.

  • Durability: With proper care, porcelain laminates can last 10–15 years or longer.

  • Natural Look: They reflect light similarly to natural tooth enamel, offering a very lifelike result.

Porcelain laminates are an excellent choice for patients seeking a long-lasting and minimally invasive solution to enhance their smile.

PERMANENT SOLUTION, CONFIDENT SMILE

Initial Consultation

The dentist examines your teeth, discusses your smile goals, and determines if you're a suitable candidate for porcelain laminates. X-rays or digital scans may be taken for planning.

Smile Design & Planning

Impressions or 3D scans of your teeth are taken. A mock-up or digital preview of your expected smile is created so you can see the potential results before treatment begins.

Tooth Preparation

A very thin layer of enamel (usually 0.3–0.7 mm) is gently removed from the front of the teeth to make space for the veneers. Local anesthesia may be used for comfort.

Taking Final Impressions

After preparation, detailed impressions of the teeth are taken and sent to a dental lab where your custom porcelain laminates are crafted.

Bonding the Porcelain Laminates

Once the laminates are ready (usually within 1–2 weeks), they are checked for fit, color, and shape. The teeth are cleaned, etched, and a special dental adhesive is applied. The laminates are carefully placed and cured (hardened) with a special light.
