WHAT IS

Dental Implants?

RESTORE YOUR SMILE, RENEW YOUR CONFIDENCE

A dental implant is a permanent solution for replacing missing teeth. It’s a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, acting as an artificial tooth root. Once it integrates with the bone (a process called osseointegration), a crown, bridge, or denture is attached on top to restore the look and function of your natural tooth.

Key Features:

  • Durable and long-lasting

  • Looks and feels like a natural tooth

  • Helps maintain jawbone health

  • Allows normal eating and speaking

  • Prevents nearby teeth from shifting

Endosteal Implants

Endosteal implants are the most widely used type of dental implant. They are shaped like small screws and are surgically placed directly into the jawbone. After the surrounding bone heals and fuses with the implant (a process called osseointegration), a crown or other restoration is attached. This type is ideal for patients with a healthy jawbone and offers excellent stability and long-term results.

Zygomatic Implants

Zygomatic implants are a specialized type used when there is insufficient bone in the upper jaw and traditional implants are not an option. Instead of anchoring into the jawbone, these longer implants are anchored into the cheekbone (zygoma). This procedure is more complex and is typically performed by highly experienced specialists. It offers a solution for patients who otherwise may not be eligible for implants due to severe bone loss.

All-on-4® Implants

The All-on-4® system is a full-arch restoration technique that uses just four strategically placed implants to support a complete set of upper or lower teeth. This is ideal for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth. The implants are placed in areas of the jaw with the most bone, reducing the need for bone grafting and allowing for quicker treatment and recovery. It offers a secure, fixed alternative to traditional dentures.

Subperiosteal Implants

Subperiosteal implants are placed under the gum but above the jawbone, rather than directly in it. They consist of a metal frame that rests on top of the bone, with posts that extend through the gums to hold the artificial tooth. This type is typically used for patients who don’t have enough natural jawbone and are unable or unwilling to undergo bone grafting. Though less common today, subperiosteal implants can be a suitable alternative in certain cases.

TYPES OF

Implants Treatment

PERMANENT SOLUTION, CONFIDENT SMILE

Here’s a more detailed overview of dental implants treatments, written in a clear, patient-friendly way:

Single Tooth Implant

Used to replace one missing tooth with a titanium post and a custom crown. It's an ideal solution that preserves neighboring teeth and restores natural function and appearance.

Multiple Tooth Implants

For several missing teeth, implants can support individual crowns or a bridge. This provides a stable, long-lasting alternative to partial dentures without relying on adjacent natural teeth.

All-in-a-Day Implants (Teeth in a Day)

A modern technique where implants and a temporary set of teeth are placed on the same day. Ideal for full-arch replacements, this offers immediate results with minimal downtime, though not all patients are candidates.
